X is for… Professor Origami: The Lily

In November 2015, Nate was preparing to present at an Early Childhood Education Conference in NYC. The topic was STEAM Education.

STEAM is the blending of 5 disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math

From this experience, our obsession with Origami began, and before long, we had decided to fold 1,000 Origami Flowers as decor for our wedding the following summer. Our small apartment was covered with these beautiful paper flowers leading up to the big day. (There was even Origami hanging on the door when The Punkin and Scout the Dog first met.)

The future of our civilization is dependent on STEAM Education. STEAM provides us with an understanding of how we can solve the environmental issues our planet faces. Also, in order for our children to compete in the global job market, we must take steps to encourage STEAM in our schools and community.
